The reason we have a raft of ratty old 240s here in my university town is because there was a good dealer here back in the day. Not a one of them has Maryland polo pony stickers.

Drove the 98 from Phoenix to Santa Fe yesterday. Passed 300k doing the trip. 31 mpg for the day! Wish I could get that with city/daily driving.

Lots of horse country north of Baltimore. My high school girlfriend worked weekends at a steeplechase stable.

I hope you filled up on steamed crabs... when in Rome...

Driven across AZ 4 times but it's been a few years. Were there lots of elevation changes from Phoenix to Santa Fe? Recently, did a short trip and also got 31mpg and there was quite a bit of varying elevation.

Almost at 150K and I keep thinking will my 2000 be a keeper. Though it's an NA I feel it's actually not bad in terms of acceleration. At 300K does the 98 engine still have go? My 98 S70 T5 was around 240K I think when it was beyond repair. 255K was the highest on any car we've owned.

Phoenix is at 1,000, Santa Fe is 7,000. There are several ups and downs in between, mixed in with high desert. This engine is doing surprisingly well at 300k, ideas smoothly and still has great pickup across the power band. It probably could use new oxygen sensors, one of the few items I haven't refreshed over the last 10 years.

I like the 2000 NA with the 5 speed auto. I still regret selling my 00 V70 NA. My buddy on the other hand loves it. It has about 200k+ miles on it and runs really nice.

I have a quite a few small items to buckle up till Stage 0 and looking clean and newish. I like it more each time I drive it. The gas mileage is a plus and there is actually quite a bit of pickup even on the freeway. The stock engine sounds pretty good also even though it's not loud at all.

I think CA to Flagstaff has quite a change also. Perhaps it's down hill to Phoenix then up again. So if I take care of mine it has another 150K to go. Almost at 150K.

I didn't do anything to my P2 today or for the last 4087 days.

My R was totalled in July 2012.

Sorry for the sad post, just venting.
