2006 XC70 ECM 350B issues

Post by jcz26 »

I have an I-car scanner specifically for Saab/Volvo. I have a dead skip on cylinder 1, which translates to: "ECM 350B" ignition coil cylinder 1, signal. Signal missing.
I have done extensive work on this car, the head had all new valves 1.5 years ago, has good compression in all cyl's, Harness has had all new coil connector plugs soldered and heat shrink tubing put in, new coils, moved coils around, code still on cyl 1, replaced spark plugs, and moved those around too, replaced injectors, replaced maintenance items such as, air filter, oil trap, cabin filter, etc. The ECM was replaced,(as in reprogrammed), wires coming out of the "B side" of the ECM were checked for continuity, as well as the wires going in on the "A side". Everything checks out. I had a Chevy GTU that had a cps failure in 3 cylinders, but this is just the #1 cyl., but I doubt it's the same situation. It's just as though it has a bad trigger wire for cyl 1, but I have continuity all the way back to the ECM. I don't know what I'm missing.
Thanks in advance to everyoe who may have a valid answer or point me in the right direction. jcz26
