Have you considered fitting S/V70 arms to your 850 instead of the originals? The 850 arms were never that great.

Because of the extreme low temperature (-320 F), all the pipes had to be stainless steel. Since stainless steel is prone to thread galling, we used Blue Moly thread lubricant. This lube would get everywhere and into the pores of your skin. You tried to be careful what you touched, but still you would get some on you and then it would spread all over you and your clothes.

I bet that was fun... probably leaving a trail of it everywhere for the rest of the day!

Neil.
I was considering that but the information seemed to be inconsistent around that swap. Some seemed to indicate the passenger side S70 arm was needed for for the driver's side 850. Other sources didn't say that, and some said there could be issues with rubbing. Shopping ebay for used S70 arms, they were more expensive than I could get a new aftermarket 850 arm that should at least fit, and work, for awhile.

I ended up switching the wiper arms with those from a Dodge Shadow. I just couldn't deal with how the passenger side arm stood so high above the hood line. Now they both sit down below the cowl. Much cleaner look. I did have to do a little modifying of the drivers side arm.

And I never heard ( or heard of ) a speed warning buzzer. And you could say I have driven it a bit at a clip.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

It would be good to know all which wiper arms fits these as 850 are just so weak as stock.

Speed Warning was activated only for market areas which required Speed Warning so Japanese and Saudi i think only(?) which why if it was seen it came via imports only as stock and installed. It can be programmed chime in kmh 32 up to 284 kmh (284kmh = disabled).

How to retrofit buzzer for 850 models
