The top car is a 1935 Ford. They had four bar hood side panels. The next year (1936) had three bar hood side panels. A friend has a nice original example. The side panels were removable for service access. I have a 1938 Ford sedan with yet another side panel design.
A 'deuce coupe' is generally considered as the 1932 Ford coupe. Deuce for two as in 1932.

The 1932 Ford was a major design change for Ford. This was the first year for Ford's famous flat head V8. There were V8 engines from other manufacturers, but none in the low price market. The new V8 had all cylinders cast in a common block and valves mounted in the V of the block. Heads had no valves, only the spark plugs, so they were 'flat'. The engine had two water pumps, one for each cylinder bank, mounted on the front. A single downdraft carburetor supplied all cylinders. The distributor was mounted on the front of the engine with the styled coil mounted on top of the distributor.
The 1932 body was little changed from the previous Model A. It was small and light, making it a good candidate for larger motors and performance.

Hagerty’s Tom Cotter’s cool wagon is a ‘39. I love it. He has quite a history with it back to his youth. Heavily modified, like an LS swap. But he drives it across the country.
