Repairing hood latch 9203302 white bushing

On the hood latch part 9203302, the rod is held to the latch using a white bushing. I broke that bushing and can no longer use the handle to open the hood. Does anyone know where a replacement for the bushing can be purchased? It's a long shot.

Thanks but Shagg might need the latch to keep the hood closed when hauled to its next/final destination.

It's best to unscrew the latch from the hood, let it dangle by the rod from the handle, then remove the handle with its two plastic tabs. It's a three hand job. I broke mine trying to remove the rod from the latch, probably because I couldn't remove the handle with the rod attached. But I have removed a handle in the past... I forget how it played out.
