i am wondering if anyone can tell me if they have experienced problems with their geartronic or automatic gearbox because they have had a brake servo which has a hiss when the brakes are applied.
any feedback would be much appreciated
thanks in advance

hiya vegas,
havent done much with it the last few days. before i tie a rocket to it and send it off to the moon, i am checking things out to rule out problems before taking it to the stealer dealer.
my faith in garages are poor because i have read so much on these and other forums that even the dealers have got the diagnosis wrong, ending up in a very big bill for the owner and the problem still not solved.
i am not sure if my car will need to go to the dealers to get the codes reset. i believe i may of fixed the problem, a broken wire to the gearbox, but i dont know if the codes have to be reset to get it into normal mode again.
it is still stuck in limp home mode and i have not got a choice of forward gears.
any suggestions, my dtc tcm screen reads "checking" ???

Have you tried disconnecting the battery cable from the battery for at least 30 seconds? I hear this is supposed to clear some codes.

hiya vegas,
i have had the battery disconnected overnight and it is still storing the codes.
i think i am going to have to get the codes cleared by the stealer.
