Have you ever tried 225's on the P80. Am considering 225/45/17 with Orpheus which is the OE sizing for the 07 S60 which I have already.

I have not. From what I've read they'll rub
Yes, I just read that today also. Thanks.
Have 5 sets of rims currently for the 00 S70 and 07 S60. The 15 is 43mm, 16 is 49mm, (2) 17 are 49mm as is with the 18. Was thinking of the 225/45/17 on the 07 S60 and in case I don't like the ride perhaps it can go to the 00 S70. I can then go with a 235/45/17 or 225/45/18 on the 07 S60. Will see how the current new 205/55/16 Goodyears work out on the 00 S70. It's a little big but can be used on the 07 S60 as the rims are from it.scot850 wrote: ↑30 Nov 2023, 13:18 I run 225/45/17 on my car but it is an AWD. The main difference is at the rear as the FWD parking brake goes into the hub on an angle where the AWD goes in perpendicularly. On full extension it is possible that the wheel will bind at full suspension extension. At the front, I used to have no issues until the dealer replaced the front sub-frame bushes. The tire now rubs on the LHS inner fender where it didn't before. RHS is fine.
If you can find a 17" wheel with say a 40-43mm offset it may work but I still think there may be an issue at the rear parking brake cables.
Only way to be sure is to check the current offset of your rims, then measure the gap from the closest point to a rub point at the back.
Then adjust for a different offset (larger offset moves the tire inwards), and then add half the different tire width. Obviously, using the same offset as original (43mm and assuming you are using that now) you only need to add half the tire width.

OP has just been to busy to engage. But to answer the question that was already answered, tires are 205/55/16… don’t seem to be rubbing or causing any issues, and loving them so far!
