Have a small dense memory type foam pad for the knees also. In NC the roof pitch are steep so the roofers use a large couch cushion on their knees so they don't slide off.

I also have 3 pieces of some high-density foam sheets that I acquired from some packaging that I use as cushioning or mats, depending on what I'm doing. I've got a lot of miles and abuse on my 55-year-old knees.

My supply comes from Costco's detergent section. The ones that are layered between the products for stability during shipping are pallet sized 40" X 48". I just fold them and tuck them under the shopping cart and hopefully they don't slide out once or twice during my Costco run. Knees and lower back for me.

You youngun's and your blankets xD
Jokes aside I worked out in the cold at the scrap yard for years. The wrenches would stick to your hand but you need to persevere, that engine won't get taken apart by itself.
My toes would get numb, brutal. The only heat was a barrel with old headwrests we lit on fire.

I am guessing you learned to love the smell of burning foam in the morning!
Sounds like a tough job.

Ooof, sounds nasty. I remember pulling an axle off a vw bus at Rosens in Buffalo in 0F with a 40 mph wind coming off the lake in the 1980s

Wonder if that yard is still there.

On edit,,,,turned into a massive cleanup project next to the Ashland pits, all gone now. River Road in Tonawamda, ny

It was more like oil with petrol and diesel, but mostly petrol. See the ground is pretty soaked now and it's giving off a smell. The burning of foam, barely anything but once in a while there are these seats and headwrests made of this dried off material almost like hay, but not exactly. That thing smokes a lot.

That burning foam was certainly good for you. Isocyanates, urethanes, amd a cocophany of cancerous chemicals nicely aerosolised for deep breathing consumption
