The first post in this thread has a video of the engine moving when shifting. How can I check the subframe mounts?

You didn't say if you checked and re-tightened the axle bolts. Sometimes they get loose and fall out and then the driveshaft can slide in an out of the hub causing clunking.

Top and bottom engine mounts are notorious for failing within 5k kilometers. And once that happens they both fail as the increased stress on either causes the other to go bad as well. So replace in pairs and avoid Corteco.

Addendum: Your top mount is very very shot from the video. And it likely destroyed the torque rod mounted on the gearbox from the increased stress.

The torque rod is relatively new, and even though it was worn before, replacing did not fix the problem. I think the top mount may be fine as the rubber does not look worn. I think it may just be the updated design where the rubber is allowed to move around inside the metal for reduced cabin vibrations. I could be wrong though.

Would a worn upper mount also be the cause of my vibration when accelerating and going up hill?

Here is a video that I took a little awhile ago of the inner part of the mount being loose. If I lift the rubber flap part the inside rubber looks fine.

I recently took the tires off and do not recall the axle bolts backing out. I will check them for tightness though.

Yes its dead and it likely destroyed the torque rod as well. This is why both should be replaced at the same time.

Re clicking between Reverse and Drive etc.
I discussed that in the DIY regressing CV joint thread.
Basically it is dry grease.
So not enough grease allows the bearing balls from bouncing around.

If you suspect dry grease in CV joint, then a ghetto
way is to use a grease gun and inject grease into
the CV joint via the axle center bolt. Once you remove
the axle center bolt, the hollow channel leads to
the CV joint chamber.

I replaced the upper engine mount and the new one definitely had way less play than the old one. I have not driven around much yet, but I noticed that there still is a thud half a second after shifting into reverse.
It sounds quieter and is less noticable in the video.

Also is it normal that the cross stray can move like this?
It looks super loose in the video, but it did take some force to move.

Does it do the same going from neutral to drive? I was chasing down a similar situation and changing engine mounts a few years ago until I realized that the problem was with the transmission, specifically the linear solenoids in the valve body. The solution was to remove the valve body and rebuild the solenoids with a TransGo shift kit, about $120 and a weekends work. There’s 3 linear solenoids, they’re pretty easy to rebuild or you can buy new ones. If you google Sonnax AW 55 linear solenoid troubleshooting they explain it pretty well what these do and the problems that they can develop.

There is a very slight noise when going from neutral to drive, however, it might be normal. The other time it clunks in driver is when braking at a stoplight and accelerating after.

You did not replace the lower torque rod, now your new upper engine mount will absorb more shocks(because of the damaged lower torque rod) and get mechanically separated from the aluminum body and fail within several thousand miles, if not earlier.

Additionally you did not say if you tightened all the CV axle bolts.

Lastly yes it could be because of sticky solenoids
