Rear strut assembly seems crooked.

I finished replacing the rear shocks today, and the car feels much more firm. When I took the assembly out, it looked like the right side was somewhat crooked compared to the left. It seems to look the same once I installed the new shocks.

Left side:
Note that the shock looks centered in the coil.

Shock seems to be pushed to the side.

I assume it is the coil doing this. Is this a problem? How necessary is it to replace the coils? The ride height seems fine, and both sides match. Would this somehow mess up the alignment?

You may have to rotate the top mount till it's centered? The end of the spring can only sit one way on the spring perch of the shock.

I mean if one side is normal and the other not, something is definitely wrong. Perhaps a problem with the mount? It is puzzling.

It is not seated in the seat correctly in the top housing, re-compress and reseat

How do I make sure it is seated properly? I don't think anything needs to be rotated since It was already crooked like that when I took it out of the car and it installed fine. I did notice that on both sides the bushing was stuck on the spring but not on the metal mount.

Do I need a new rubber bushing?

I don't have hands on experience yet with the AWD rear strut setup. From the photo in the link is this how it's suppose to line up? The upper spring end to the gusset on the strut mount?
