Only reason I could think of for this is to try to cool the charge temperature of the fuel by keeping the intake further away from the cylinder head. However, as you have found it changes the spray direction of the injectors. So what is the claim by the supplier for it's purpose?

Fitting a better intercooler will reduce the temperature of the charge pressure, but those aluminum (say Do88) intercoolers are expensive.

Like you said, sometimes we get it wrong. Been there, done that many times!

Hopefully you can get a refund.

What I read is the supposed benefit is lower intake manifold heat soak, leading to a reduction in charge temperature. Idea is less heat in the manifold, less heat in the air coming in. Not sure if it's the same supplier but I am curious as well.

So the supplier simply makes the claim that the spacer reduces the temperature of the intake manifold, which it does to varying degrees. That is all good. But one question is, how long is the air in the intake, and how much heat does it draw from the intake in that time. So it might not make that much of a difference.
However the relocating of the injectors is the bigger negative, which in my opinion, out weighs any possible benefits regarding intake temps. Then you also have the possibility of the spacer cracking in the future.
I've been running a do88 intercooler for a couple of years, and it's great. Also insulated my fuel lines in the engine bay to help keep the fuel from getting hot, and finally installed a water / meth injection system, all to help keep things cooool. But in balance, the spacer is a waste, IMHO.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

I can see that, that the difference in temp in that short distance might not be measurable. If you had individual throttle bodies with long plastic intake runners and trumpets for added torque there might be a noticeable difference.

But yeah, mess with the injector location or angle and you've changed everything.

I did it again! Bought a 2005 s60 t5 seat (2.5T w/sport seats) and made another house chair. I recently was reminded I have a 98 s70 base manual-type seat in the spare closet. That one could be tricky. I apologize for wrong pic orientation. The camera seems to pick n choose if and when it'll use the correct one.

Noticed that my right hood latch wasn't latching, and that there was a missing bolt.

What I had thought would be a 5 minute fix turned into 2 and 1/2 hours, and a case of the right side not unlatching instead which almsot made me give up at around the 2 hour mark.

Not sure if this is normal but the whole thing just doesn't work unless the bottom bolt is a little loose.

Anyways as promised here's a pic of my subframe's "folded ear"

Would an immobilizer problem cause the car to not crank? My 2000 V70 XC wouldn't turn on the other day. I go and put the key in and when I turn it it doesn't crank it just goes click.

The car ran two days before it was parked where sat. The only thing that had changed between then and now was I plugged in the passenger seat.

previously The car was driving around fine with no seats in it, so I don't know why it would be acting up all of a sudden. I thought it might have been the starter, but I pulled that and bench tested it and it's perfectly fine.

But anyways, aren't what I did for the day.

I pulled the bumper off to get the two screws for my fog lights I broke off months ago. Had to put a little bead on there and extract them with a pair of vise grips. And I got the header panel on from the car I scrapped this summer, because mine was broken.

Tomorrow I'm going to put the bumper back on get fog lights mounted up and possibly swap out my headlights.

My projector retrofits need the housing swapped. The nutsert on one of the headlights broke and I had to cut it off. So I'm swapping the projectors over to my C70 headlights, and I'm going to swap the shrouds so they match the chrome. I'm going to have to cut these shrouds a smidge, but it's not a big deal.

And hook up the high beams so that way I have stupid bright high beams.

Any help with the no start issue would definitely be appreciated. There is fuel there is no crank.

Are you getting enough power? An immobilizer issue with cut fuel and spark, but not the starter crank signal.
