Seafoam is just odorless kerosene with a few other harsh chemicals, so if you're going to use it, put a little in the engine when it's warm, run it a few minutes/km, and then change to fresh oil.
I agree with the earlier comment, noisy lifters aren't a big concern, especially if the car had been sitting for any period of time.
