The car came with one of those already installed, along with a fiberglass repair for the trim itself. Well, it had the repair kit on the two remaining and those were close to unusable too. The L shaped piece itself was pretty much gone, nowhere solid for those to mount to.

I believe the climate here is literally the worst case testing environment for plastics and electronics, the kind replicated artificially for part validation.

I understand what you mean. Maybe keep an eye out for another one in better shape. Even if it is the wrong color you could cut off the mounts and glue them to your original one.

Something might be broken on mine then, as they don't seem to have any effect, I can pull them out either up or down. Thanks.

I bought one in better shape (externally it was in two pieces instead of 4), and the mounts are worse ironically. Unfortunately when I attempted to repair it, I ended up turning it also into 4 pieces. Now I'm using the one that had been already previously repaired, and if you aren't in the back or looking for it, it's alright. I'll still be looking to get a better one but there are other priorites for the car in the meantime.

Other way around I think, but same conclusion. I can get them out, maybe they're a little too eager as they want to pop off when I pull the tab to fold them forward. Still, it's not an issue so I'll just let it be.

Post a picture of the clips on the seat. It may be they have been fitted in reverse.

Swapped out the starter on her GLT today.

It's been giving some solenoid trouble the past couple of weeks. Slow to engage, hanging up slightly, or just plain nothing until a couple taps with a hammer. Was very sporatic.
Had a good used one in the stash and got it swapped out pretty quickly.

Doing the fan "tuck" on it a while back made for MUCH more working room. Just needed to remove the upper IC tube and the air cleaner intake duct to get all of the room I needed to unbolt everything.

I replace the four fan lag screws with cheap stainless crap and leave the bottom two slip tight. That makes fan removal a 1 minute affair

Update on my 2000 V70XC no start

Still no crank
Bench tested the starter, it's fine.
Cycled the shifter to no effect
Swapped starter relays
Swapped starter and battery from my working v70
No significant voltage drop when turning the key
Starter is getting 12v
Tried jumping the starter with my switch
Tried to reset the immobilizer in case that was the issue.

Up next is replacing the Spade connector, but the voltage was fine iirc.

If that doesn't work (which I'm going to assume it won't) I'll finally be pulling the PNP switch out and rebuilding it.

My coworker with vida is coming over this week to see if I missed anything obvious and see if the computer brings anything up .

I'm at a loss as to how this happened. Being a 2 day difference between it running and not running.
