That won't work for the U-bend on the left hose. A straight length will work for the right one. I've had no problems with mine.

Yeah, I thought so too.

I re-sent the link you gave me and asked if this might be a better solution considering that bend.

My measurement put the inner diamter of this hose at around 14mm but I wonder if URO actually got it wrong
and it should be larger. You said you are running 16mm. The ends are where mine are cracking and they are tougher than they should
be to get on with these after markets. I think It's probably more like 15mm

If push comes to shove, you could easily fabricate something out of ridged copper pipe / fittings, and then join that to the hard ends with a couple of small straight hoses w/ clamps.

On the RN biscuit style oil cooler on the right hand side of the engine (rear of car) you have to be careful the hoses dont chafe on the RHS driveshaft. I believe in factory form they are zip tied together and I bind them with exhaust fabric tape, too.

The shape/ curve of the rubber hoses keeps them inline. But you are 100 in the heat shielding the last person to touch these hoses that wasn't me seemed to lose the shielding for the biscuit side and it has suffered more than the right side.

As long as the hoses are tight up against the block, it shouldn't be an issue. It's not like they, or the axle shaft are moving around. Tie them together if you feel necessary, but mine aren't and are nowhere close to the axle.

If using high-temp hose, there really is no need to cover them with anything.

That's just the thing- these replacement URO hoses are shit - frankly.
And currently the only thing being sold.
If I can't find Silicone replacements that will work I will have to go with the aftermarket
And since even the genuine Volvo came with Shielding from the factory(that has since gone missing) and I looking for ways to extend the life of these hoses as much as I can.

Don't use the URO stuff. Stop wasting time with it.

A "custom" set up of hi-temp silicone hoses will be miles ahead of that. the right hose is easy with a straight section, and the left can be done with any of the options put forth.
