- I use DW soap, the powder type.

- Sprinkle the soap powder on the stain, rub it with your shoes. Then use a bottle sprayer and gently wet it.
Do NOT hose it. Let it fit there for a few days. Eventually the sun will bake it in etc.

- A week later you can brush it and hose it with water...

Spray Nine works well on oil stains on a polished concrete garage floor, I expect it would work on finished concrete like a driveway. Not sure if you can get Spray Nine in the states but it emulsifies grease and oil in about two minutes. Probably brakeclean would do the same thing, you have to rinse it away afterwards.

I've never seen Spray Nine in the US but did originally try brakeclean with mixed results and a lot of runoff.

I decided to try the easiest methods 1st and see what happens. Initial results with OxyClean (laundry detergent) were decent, some removal of the stain and the surrounding cement really whitened. Right now I'm trying DW powered soap. I'll give this some time and maybe even reapply. If this isn't successful, may try a heat gun next or even a power washer or Shark steam cleaner.

Thanks to all for your input. I'll try to follow-up when I've got a result I'm happy with.

It is all over the place in the US if you are looking for it. It is produced by Illinois Tool Works Inc. Where to but Spray Nine.

I guess I should have said that I never looked for Spray Nine in the US, hence I've never seen it.

I guess if all other options fail, I'll head to Wal Mart, AcE Hardware or Advance Auto. Thanks RHP.

Hey, sorry for reviving this one.
I have some big stains, and nothing helps. No dw soap, no chemical products. Any other tips?

Try Purple Power...

But again, I minimize the use of chemical if I can to avoid
polluting this planet.

Most of the time, DW soap, some water and the sun works...

Have you tried using a degreaser specifically designed for removing oil stains? One method that I've seen work well is using a mixture of dish soap and hot water to break down the oil. Simply apply the mixture to the stained area, let it sit for a few minutes to penetrate the oil, then scrub with a stiff brush or broom. Rinse the area thoroughly with water afterward. Additionally, you could try using a pressure washer for more stubborn stains, but be cautious not to damage the concrete surface. Always test any cleaning solution on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't cause any damage.
