IWhen I turn my vehicle I hear a foof, foof, foof sound (left front wheel). I have new tires and rotors, no vibration in steering wheel.. Any ideas on what this sound might be?

Is the sticker still on the tire?

Try to rotate your tires. If the sound does not move I would think it was the wheel bearing. If it does move it is the tire.

I'll rotate the tire- and see if that resolves the issue. Would worn bearings make that sound?

Can I do this myself? I change my own brakes and do other maintenance. I also have the tools- easy, med, or difficult job?

I haven't done the front bearing, just the rear which required a 22mm socket and was fairly easy. I saw a link on OZBrick or Bay13 for the front wheel bearing procedure but I can't seem to find it now. Here is a link about the issues and sounds of a front bearing: http://au.geocities.com/ozbrick850/wheel-bearings.html

good luck,

I am hearing a foof, foof, foof sound at all speeds, but more pronounced when I turn the car to the left. My Indy doesn't believe its the hub but other boards have suggested it. I also sae a thread regarding the caliper not retracting and the pads possibly rubbing on the rotor- any ideas on how to eliminate one or the other?

Raise the front end than try to rotate wheels and observe outer CV joint boots (look for worn out or damaged/bent rubber)

Check the wheel well after you drive. If it's really hot in respect to your other wheels, then it's most probably a frozen brake caliper. If not, then it's probably the wheel bearing.
