93 850 service light on only when cold below 35degrees

these last few days its been 30 degrees or colder in the mornings, today it was 23. when i get in the car and drive to work my service light comes on as soon as you start the car, the little round light. it only comes on when the car is cold, at lunch or on the way home it does not come on? so I assume it has something to do with the coldness? what does this mean? I reset the light about 600miles ago so it should not have anything to do with the service reminder. I only drive 5 miles to work and it stays on the whole time, but later in the day it will not be on, and it has warmed up to the mid 40's by then.

I am reffering to the little round 1/8 inch light next to the outside temp. for the last 4 days now it has come on only in the morning which has been between 23-30 degrees. at lunch and in the evenings it is not on and it has been 40-50 degrees then? today going in to work I had to make a stop on the way, it was still on after I started the car again and the car was warm but it was 30 degrees today. mathew. I still can't reply to posts but I can edit?

Service light -- dumb, timed
Check Engine light -- smart, triggered by a fault
