I might be dumb

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

I took a quick look at this S80 today.... A T6. I didn't realize twin turbo could be had on the six.

I think the mildew looks worse on person.

How bad are those GM transmission?

The transmission is fine on the S80.

My dad had a '99 T6, I've written about it here many times. I liked it quite a bit.

Thank you, I'll do some reading.

Any chance you can tell the year this car is, by the few pictures I posted? If not, I'm sure the auction house will list the details eventually. I tried taking a picture of the VIN, but the camera focused on the dirty windshield, and the characters were illegible.

I don't need or have room for this car, but I'm starting to question the Mercedes I purchased. It replaced the 99 S70 that I hit a deer with. I'm starting to kick around the idea of flipping the 96 C220.

I think there was a facelift in 2003 and this is pre-that, so '99-2002.

I don't have this data in this page, but it's good either way: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/s80/

I was at the auction house today, picking up something. I briefly looked at this S80 again. Its not listed yet, it's still just sitting there, but I did notice something I didn't see before. I don't know if it was like this already, or if it's happened since I looked the first time. The window frame is bent out quite a bit, on the driver's side front door.

IMHO that's a $500 car.

454, this thread's title makes me think of this. Maybe you're just happy?

Unless it doesn't run, the starting bid will be higher than that. I probably won't buy it, or even bid, but I tend to give all the Volvos at least a little look-see.

Lol, Maybe. I never really listened to Nirvana, so I'm not familiar with the song, but I did listen to the video most of the way through. Sometimes I see a vehicle for what it could be, rather than what it is... which is kinda dumb or dangerous to the wallet.
