I replaced the ETM with a third unit and the problem seems to be resolved. I’m still getting the older Xemodex unit from scott850, because frankly I don’t trust the OEM ones.
To recap for those that don’t want to read through the entire thread; car ran good for a few minutes on startup but shortly after going into closed loop the ‘Actual Throttle Position’ (as called on my cheap generic scanner) would freeze. On restart it showed 0 degrees. After sitting overnight it would go through the same scenario again. I replaced the throttle module with 2 different salvage units, the 2nd one cleared up the issue. Disconnected the battery for 1/2 hour to clear adaptations and the engine runs fine.
Now on to the next set of issues with this Hellmobile
