A while back I mentioned a friend had fitted a Bluetooth double din unit to his 98 V70 AWD. There was some interest in finding out more about it and am really sorry he did get back to me with some details on the unit. He said it was fairly easy to fit (but then he is a skilled mechanic!!).
The radio is nothing fancy. This is what I got. I was ordering other stuff from AliExpress, and figured for $30, I would try it. I had to trim out the guides from the sides of the radio opening, and buy a double DIN universal mounting kit. I used plastic rivets to secure the mounting bracket to the radio opening using existing holes. I then bent some tabs out to prevent the very shallow radio from going too far in, and the radio is just wedged in, it's a tight fit. I installed it the day before we left for Calgary.
