2006 xc90 SRS light on-iCarsoft 2.0 won't clear code

Post by aaron1611 »

Good morning,
I just purchased this 2006 XC90 with the V8 and I have the SRS light on. The iCarsoft won't clear the code, I'm getting SRS-00E7. I'm getting 12.2V on the battery with car off. Using the iCarsoft it's telling me that the Voltage Supply to the SRS is 10.85 volts. I'm thinking this is the problem. the nut under the seat was loose and I tightened it until it clicked but that wasn't the issue. Should I replace my battery?

Thank you,

To Know if you need to change your battery - you need to test it with a Battery Tester such as the ANCEL BA101.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0 ... UTF8&psc=1

When Testing - on the XC90 with the battery at the back - you need to do it directly on the battery - therefore at the back and NOT from the relay in the engine compartment.

...Ho I forgot to mention, SRS Codes I believe needs to be cleared with Vida.... or by going to a Volvo dealer. Reason being related to a major safety issue - air-bags.

I've pulled the 12.2 volts from the battery in the back with the truck off with my tester. The iCarsoft reader claims to clear SRS lights. I have a VIDA but I'm not sure I remember the password to start the program, I'll have to dig for that and repost my findings.

12.2 Volt is a little low. Did you test the CCA and the Resistance of the Battery with your tester? And I would fully charge the battery before testing. Charging with a smart-charger would be ideal.

charging the battery now. To be honest, I don't really know how to check resistance....

12.2 Volts is considered low, should be at least around 12.6 to 12.8 volts with car off. While it's being Projected the 2012 XC90 is not driven often. Just put it on the charger overnight and removed this morning. It took a full charge meaning the needle (maybe a 40 year old charger) was close to zero. Do an overnight charge and see if anything changes before purchasing a new battery.
.
Blessings,

battery wouldn't charge above 12.2V so I replaced the battery but it didn't fix anything. I dug deeper into the iCarsoft system and it's telling me Can Signal.Signal Missing.

I’ve cleared SRS faults with an iCarSoft, except for an internal SRS controller fault which requires replacement.

Definitely sort the voltage issue first.

I may have missed it but which iCarSoft scanner do you have?
