I’m going to apologize in advance in case I leave out any important information please ask questions if necessary.
Last winter, I slid my wagon into a guard rail. I was gassing it gently up a hill, and as I reached the crest, the rear end swung out to the right, but I delayed in counter steering as this wasn’t the first time the rear end has slid out under me and I underestimated the road conditions. As I realized the car wasn’t gonna hook back up and I was continuing to slide towards the left side of the road with my rear end swinging to the right, I turned my wheel full lock toward the right to try and correct the car, but I kept sliding toward the left. The rear end swung to the left but I didn’t hook back up in time, so the rear end hit the guard rail, and caused the front end to whiplash into the guard rail right after. The wheel were still locked to the right, so as the front end hit the guard rail, the rear of the front tire/rim smack the guardrail hard. As I bounced/slid away from the crash, I instantly realized my alignment was ruined.
I limped the car home and it felt like the wheels were facing opposite directions. I left the car sitting over the winter as I didn’t have the time or funds to dive in. I figured I bent the tie rods and or driver side control arm. My tie rods had been due for replacement anyway so I bought a set and a new driver side control arm. When it came time to install the parts, first, I realized I bought the wrong tie rod kit. Secondly, the driver side control arm seemed to be perfectly fine. When held up against the new one, they looked exactly the same. Even though I didn’t replace the tie rods, I still removed them to inspect and they also looked to not be bent whatsoever. I then started to think. If I crashed the way I did, wouldn’t a bend in the tie rod cause them to toe in toward each other? The tires are tied out from each other. My question is, what other component in the front end could be bent causing this strange misalignment if the control arms and tie rods all seem “normal”. My neighbor suggested my strut tube could be bent, but to my eye, that also looked fine, aside from me not having any experience hearing of such a thing happening. Any advice and guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you

Check the attaching points. Could be not so much a bend as a stretching/compressing force damage. If there is a lot of gunk there, could be hard to see.
I've ordered a volvo service repair manual for the 240 front suspension. When it comes I'll upload ad pdf, or at leat post pictures.
Good luck.

Compare the two sides of the control arms and the rear control arm mounting brackets. With a hard hit to the wheel, these stamping may be bent. Was the wheel damaged?

That’s what I was expecting. I was expecting to see bending in the control arm and/or the mounting points but I noticed no bending. The wheel wasn’t damaged either
