need help near Boulder CO to reset CEM on 2001 V70 XC
Got a fancy scanner? I can bring beverages.
Recurring SRS belt buckle signal missing.
I tested the Hall effect device in the RH buckle, it works, I think.
Somewhere I read to reset CEM THEN SRS.
My scanner can do SRS but I don't have a tool that can reset CEM.

Does the car drive? There are a couple of repair shops in Boulder that claim to work on Volvo's. Unfortunately my brother is overseas for a few weeks, but he used a repair shop for his Volvo in Loveland run by 2 ex-Volvo tech's. I can't contact him to find the name of the shop.

Neil.

I know a few folks at Swedish Motors in Boulder. Tell them I sent you if you end up going the paid route.

Sorry I can't help. I gave my scanner away when I sold my V70... I shouldn't have perhaps, but they were a young couple, he a tradesman and she, I don't recall what she did but it wasn't a six-figure salary. Full tank of gas, new battery, clean interior, new IPD belly pan and a mountain of new parts in the back, and a scanner for codes... life's tough for youngsters these days. (I have a feeling they flipped it, and I don't care what they did with it. If it helped them, great!) Super off topic, sorry.

try a battery reset ?
disconnect battery terminals and touch them to discharge residual volts from the system,
put key in pos ll and reconnect battery for a soft boot.
