1998 s70 interior trim

Hello all. This is my first time posting here although I have spent many hours here doing research. We have a 1998 s70 T5m SE and all of the wood grain interior trim is cracked or broken. I can’t find a good replacement,,, don’t want vinyl decals, would like to find reproduction or good used pieces. Has anyone had any luck finding a good reproduction kit? Thanks

There are used ones out there. They are getting harder to find, especially in good condition. Here we have the 'professional' hack job people stripping cars as soon as they arrive in the sell pull junkyards. They think nothing of ripping out the trim parts to get to what they want destroying useable parts in their stupidity. I have been know to go to the junkyard from time to time. What variant are you looking for as there are about 3 different wood finishes. Are any of your panels still good? The center dash is the hardest to pull. Center console not too terrible but takes a bit of time. Gear shift knobs for manuals are hard to find.

Anything that old around here goes directly to the crusher pile. Not sure what style of wood it is, is there an interior code somewhere? My center dash is in good condition, I need the glove box door one , Center console and the long one on the steering wheel. I would by a parts car but not many of them around here.

Can you post a picture of what is fitted now? There may be a code, but I don't know where that is help other than maybe Volvo can tell you from the Vin#. Chances are I can tell from seeing it.

Consider wrapping the parts. Film is cheap with a good selection of prints and colors. Lot's of Youtube videos for tutorial. I found a hair dryer with leather gloves is easier than the heat gun for these small parts.

Door handle cover for a 2007 S60 2.5T and 2008 C30 T5 M66. The C30 wrap has held up going on 5 years now. The wraps were just an inexpensive sheet variety from Amazon.

The first photo of the S60 not my car but it does show the difference in the before and after wrapping of the cover. The cover had a small chip which the wrap hid fairly well.

The vinyl won’t work for me, some of mine has lifted and broken. Here’s a pic of what’s in the car.

That looks like the walnut trim to me. Nice you have the section in the rear. That is not common here.

You can sand, glue and fill the areas that have lifted and broken to give a good surface to add film to.

Sorry, went to the junkyard for some stuff, but it started raining hard so had to grab what I needed and run. I'll try again soon to have a look.

What's the best way to remove the trim?

Some or all?

Glove Box - Remove the lid and there are some small Torx screws that go though to the trim insert. Careful prizing them out as the screw posts like to break off.

Center console - You have to remove the center console to access the mounting screws on the underside.

Center stack - Easiest one my removing the whole dash. In reality it can be done without removing it but it is not easy.

Gearshift knob - Twist the top of the gearshift boot CCW about 90 degrees and it disconnects the boot from the gearknob. Then grab the gearknob (automatic) and pull upwards really hard.

I would appreciate any help with getting the proper pieces. I do paint and body work so yes I could repair them and cover them in vinyl but I would rather replace them . I just don’t think I would be happy repairing them unless I absolutely have to. Thanks
