2007 XC70 Cross Country- front control arms and engine mounts

Bought the car last year and put about 7k miles on and was just told I need new front control arms and engine mounts…
Car started rattling and shaking like crazy..
How much should this typically cost to have done ?

north of $2000
my friend paid $1200 just for control arms 5 yrs ago, you should do ball joints too.
plus it will need $120 alignment .

its a DIY job.

I did this about 5 years ago using OE parts on our 06 XC70. I thought it would be cheaper to buy the bushes and replace them. I did not have a press for this, so had a shop fit the bushes. In the end the cost was about buying the whole replacement control arm.

If it’s rattling and shaking like crazy when idling replace this one first. The other mounts and suspension will not create that kind issue.

Search as there should be a few posts and videos on replacement.
