FLAPS is a pretty risky source for a fuel pump. Last time I went that route the pump lasted 6,500 miles!

The Bosch pump is like $150 from FCP. $240 all in with the special tool (worth it) and the o-ring.

For your 2004 Volvo V70, the fuel filter is typically located on the right side of the vehicle, just ahead of the rear wheel, mounted along the frame rail. However, it's possible that your model may not have an external fuel filter; some 2004 V70s have the fuel filter integrated into the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank, which doesn't require regular service.

Double-check the area on both sides of the vehicle near the rear wheels. If you still can't find it, consult your owner's manual or a service manual specific to your V70 model year to confirm if your car has an external fuel filter or if it's integrated into the fuel pump.
just in case anyone is curious i own an auto repair shop in manchester nh :)

I have begun removing the fuel pump from one of my parts cars, an '04 V70, also a B64. Nothing about the pump looks similar to a pump R&R I have found on the net. It is held in by a metal ring, as opposed to a composite. In trying to remove it, I think that I find it is bolted to the tank (there is still some gas in the tank)

If anyone can point me to a video of this model, I would appreciate it.

Thanks, those look much more like the pump I have (steel tank). A good deal more complicated too.
