For those who replaced the Tstat in P2 cars, how long did your factory Tstat last in miles?

Is that even a problem these day? The last time I had to deal with any thermostat was in 2012 on the 98 S70 T5 with 230K miles. Had this minor overheating from Expansion Tank Cap problem, besides needle hitting the red and coming down quickly. For whatever reason I went into the Tstat housing and found none . Put one in and problem solved. Have had a few cars over 200K miles and don't remember having to deal with any.
.
Blessings,

BKM

I recently replaced a P1 which was a 'good' quality PPS part, hmm. Car has about 180,000 miles on it.

I was advised by a 45 year veteran Volvo foreman, to change the thermostat every 3-4 years along with the coolant. Cheaper insurance that an engine rebuild. Overkill? Possibly.
