Turn signal/marker light removal question - 02 XC70

The gift that keeps taking!!

Fixed the rear lights and then found a new code for the RHF marker light out. Again another of Volvo's stupidest designs, especially for those of us with big hands.

Don't know if I broke the stupid connector or if it was already bad. Question is, does the RHF bulb holder turn left (CCW) or right (CW) to remove it. Having already had to remove the headlights on the 06 for the same issue after I found the RHF bulb holder (different type) is the only one on the car that turns CW/right to remove, all the others turn left/CCW.

The bulb holder has separated into 2 sections, so hopefully I can glue it back together with plastic glue.

Can anyone tell me if which direction I need to turn it CW to re-install or CCW?

Actually, the thread link below.
Just read through it, there is a trick to replace this bulb w/o removing the HL assembly!

PS: although I used a pair of right-angle pliers in that thread, in retrospect, I think a small socket that fits the white tab (of the bulb socket) will be fine. I just did not use a socket.
If you use the small socket, please post the size.
Also stuff a towel or sth underneath just in case you drop the bulb holder lol...

Only issue is that is for the headlight changed cars 2005-. 2001-4 sidelight/marker and turn signal are a combo orange bulb in a single holder that is different to the later one. I'll try to post a picture later. I have glued the 2 parts together and hope they will work for now and I'll see if I can figure this out and update.

OK, glued the 2 parts back together with JB Weld Plastic glue being careful not to gat any in the area that needs to rotate.

Fitted a bulb and tried it out without fitting it and it now works.

Before I refitted it, I used a small amount of Plumber's silicon grease (Home Depot or likes carry it) on the rubber seal ring, orientated the 3 tabs and it rotates CCW to refit. The connector should be parallel to the front of the car when fitted. It slotted in no problem and rotated easily.

Just in time for the car to randomly decide to lock itself with the key left inside.....................
