Coolant Leak

Post by tannerdorward9 »

I have a coolant leak that looks like it is coming from the bottom of the engine. Have examined the hoses and reservoir and I do not see any leaks. Any suggestions? Attached is the video of the car leaking. It often happens when the car is hot after driving but it tends to be random whenever the engine is hot. The temperature never goes past half and I can just top it off and continue on my way.

Have you inspected around the water pump area?
Usually water pumps fail with a slow leak like that from the weep hole under the seal.

Add a UV dye to the coolant and use a UV light to trace the leak. This method can help you find leaks that are not immediately visible.

Sounds good, I haven't specifically looked at the water pump but I will this evening. Thanks!
