DMM defroster 2009 d5

Post by Garrigou »

Hello chaps, I've googled the hell out of this problem but not found much information.

Recently bought D5 that's throwing a Damper Motor Defroster - no communication (DD33) code and a lower switch - faulty ID.
Lots of noise but very little air flow from the windscreen vents. Aircon works, other vents are weak but blow hot enough.

Only switch issue I have noticed is that when the heated rear windscreen is engaged, I get interference on the FM radio. :?

If I even knew how to access the Damper Motor in question that would be a start. I'm assuming it's a dash out job?

I don't have VIDA by the way, just an Icarsoft code reader.

Any help much appreciated.

Maybe something in here, last post has a link to another thread: viewtopic.php?t=99349

Possible some LIN bus corruption, this vehicle have heated seats? Might be something to consider- https://www.swedespeed.com/threads/hot- ... sa.593601/

Thanks, ggleavitt. That helps. I don't have electric seats. I might see if I can get hold of a copy of the workshop manual to access that DDM!
