Alas and thanks for keeping the economy going, but a least you'll know it is clean going forward. I'd be sure to replace that banjo bolt, whether the old one looks good or not.

ok, lets go ahead with the dumb question. so what I was concerned about was the really small lip at the red arrow being folded in at a few spots. Which I could barely see but I got ocd in my inspection and noticed it. after i pulled the seal thinking that was a failed install it seems maybe this part of the seal isn't of much significance. the inner seal yellow arrow I guess is what is of importance? because that small outer seal is so insubstantial in its thickness that I see no way of keeping it from folding in some using the install tool. any thoughts?

Do a Google image search using key words "seal garter spring", which sits under the YELLOW arrow.

The RED arrow is simply a "dust sealing lip", just to keep debris from getting to the main seal
