850 1995 pcv system without hose to the head from the oil trap

Post by classical »

Greetings,

I started to replace pcv system for my 850 1995, but i noticed that this model seems to be different than i have seen. I tried to find info of this type of system, but could not find. It does not have a hose going to the top of the head from the oil trap (see attached photo). That tube coming up from the gap of the intake manifold is a pcv hose going to the vacuum, if i remember correctly? Does anyone know where is the other pcv hose? Or is there one? There is at least an oil trap, right?

It seems that the oil dipstick tube's bracket is in a too tight place. It seems i have to take the radiator off in order to take the tube bracket off. I have watched videos of the replacement, but since my volvo seems to be different in some ways, is there another bracket down there as well?

If you have experience of replacing the pcv system to this model, i ask for your advice. What kind of pcv system have you ordered for this?

Thank you in advance.

If the engine has not been swapped, it should be 20V, at least according to the VIN number: YV1LW5502S2144216. The engine should be B5254S, if I am not mistaken. Can it be 20V if the pcv hose does not go to the top of the head?

You can remove the radiator fan pretty easily, no need to remove entire radiator.

Could you take photo of the top of the engine, can't see what it looks like where the PCV barb should be on the top.

Yes...it's a 20v engine.
Could be M4.3 or Jetronic.
How many ecu(s) in the ecu box?
Auto or manual transmission?
