Aisin Timing Belt Kit on Amazon

There is an Aisin timing belt kit on Amazon for $157. What's been everyone's experiences? I have heard it is equal to OEM?

Thanks- I see the kit above has a hydraulic tensioner? I thought the 05 v70's had a traditional spring type tensioner?

On the 05 I think you need not to touch the water pump before 200K miles

Look for sites such as Ipd or Fcp for a Contitech kit,

double check it fits your engine - following is only an example

Cheapest and the best approach:

1. TB Kit from Volvo dealer: $110.
2. Aisin WP ebay, FCPEuro: $55.

That kit looks pretty good if you get what's pictured (Gates belt, Asin WP, INA Made in Slovakia tensioner but I can't make out the idler brand)

Aisin make the hydraulic tensioners for Volvo and the water pumps (but not the mechanical type)

INA make the tensioner and idler for Volvo if it's the 1999+ type (spring loaded)

Belts are pretty good these days but I stick to Gates, Continental, Genuine Volvo or INA

I think I would stick with a well known source for critical engine parts. Jeff B will probably give you a free prime membership if your engine blows.

And that being said, I consider these shoes of mine...freshly broken in..

I bought gates before, I just had seen some threads where sometimes they did not ride true on the sprockets?

Any update on the Aisin TB kit?
I understand the TB in the kit is made by Gates.
