I am (attempting!) to replace the radiator on my S60. I'm doing it alone, also I'm attempting it without removing the intercooler, if either of these makes a difference. I've just about got the old one out, but I can't figure out how to get things past the wire loom on the passenger side.
I located a bolt into the frame below the A/C compressor. I removed it, but it didn't really seem to help. I don't see any other clips or bolts, yet the thing doesn't move. Is it attached elsewhere? If I could move that loom toward the motor, I could move the radiator more toward the motor as well, clearing the way for the radiator mount to clear the intercooler hose attachment, then I could rotate the passenger side down and proceed as the tutorials I've seen suggest.
If I was removing the intercooler along with the radiator, it looks like I would have the same problem, except it would be the intercooler hose attachment that would not clear the wire loom.
I'm concerned about damaging the wiring if I just try to force things. Anyone dealt with this?
For those interested, the radiator has been seeping at the lower passenger side since about 94K, now at 101K it's getting noticeably worse.

Have you checked a parts drawing at all? If not try this link and see if it helps figure out what bolt(s) you may have missed:

my 04 v70 the rad came out ok but would not go back without removing the intercooler, reinsert both together at the same time.
A block of wood on a trolley jack lifted them into place.
Thats what vida says to do too.

Yes, this is what it turned out to be. I had to both remove and replace the radiator and intercooler together. I found out if I remove both together, they clear the wire loom at a higher point where the loom is both more flexible and has more clearance for what is coming out.
And doing it alone, the jack was critical.
Thank you!
