No worries, I appreciate the help very much.
It looks like I am going to order the xeMODex ETM from IPD here soon. Has anyone used the Hilton tuning j2354 cable to program the ETM, or should I just get everything through BOOT AND GO's ( digital laptops) JRL cable or knockoff dice?
Thank you

Cheaper option is the latest model ETM used by Volvo , typically $150 on eBay. No programming required if you match NA and turbo.

I started looking into going this route but I was unsure of what years/ models to look for in regards to newer cars. Then I started seeing conflicting information that the throttle body is decided by induction type, then that it is dependent on auto or manual trans. I also saw that 2000 is a goofy year that might have different firmware that makes it all harder to match. Then there's the crap shoot of eBay sellers correctly marking the part and it actually being good.
And I didn't want to turn this into a thread of asking if I can use the ETM from x model/ year car and abuse the hospitality I've received so far .

It seems like I need a 2014+ ETM PN: 36050563, It looks like the software for them aren't turbo or NA specific is this correct? I see that you said they need to be turbo, but digging through the ETM lounge i keep seeing that it doesn't matter so I'm just looking for clarity
Thank you

It’s pretty much why we exist here….And I didn't want to turn this into a thread of asking if I can use the ETM from x model/ year car and abuse the hospitality I've received so far
No transmission dependence.
I’ve had 100% success rate with the late version ETM buying ones removed from either an NA car or a turbo car to match . I do have an ETM ( older , yellow label version) removed from a turbo car that worked well, PM me if interested. I hope I can find it quickly.
We * believe * the late version ETM is swappable between NA and turbo but that hasnt been definitively proven.
On edit- sent you email, you probably can’t pm until you hit 10 posts.
