1999 V70XC Transmission Removal

Post by rrres »

Hi,
Anyone have a write up, or could point me to a thread, for removing the auto transmission from a 1999 V70XC. I have the Haynes manual for an 850 and V70 but when I read through the steps, there were some things that didn't match the '99 setup.
I've watched RobertDIY's video on removing the auto transmission, but it was on an 850.
Other question I have is should I completely remove the sub frame or just leave it hanging from the passenger side, as shown in RobertDIY's videos?
It's blowby

Drop the whole subframe. It’s crowded on an XC so bring the whole motor and trans down to the floor. Service your turbo hoses and oil lines while it’s down. It’s a lot easier
