XC70 Immobiliser

Post by daveystoat »

I have a 2007 XC70 D5, which won't start. It turns over, but won't fire. It will run when 'easy start' is sprayed into the engine. It seems it was the old battery (now replaced) voltage got too low and the body control module threw a wobbly.

From this, and my other investigations lead me to believe that it's the immobiliser has kicked in and can't be disarmed. I have done the 'lock and unlock five times' thing, and the 'ignition on and off five times' thing, without success.

Is there anything else I can do to get the key to talk to the immobiliser or re-program the immobiliser to the key?

All help appreciated. Thanks in advance.
