A bit easier in an LPT, than a HPT or NA , as the torque comes early on an LPT
It would indeed be easier in an LPT, but they were unfortunately not available with a stick :(

The premise of the ask was to find a set of shifter cables for someone in need of our help. Offering inventive workarounds and advice on how to drive an already broken car - which might leave our guest walking at any moment - might work for those of us with tools and the skillset to pull such things off, but isn't addressing the issue at hand.
Robert shipped a pair he had already sold on Monday, and may have a lead on another set today, but he's on the road.
I'll PM our guest and see how she's doing.

Has anybody heard if this issue is resolved, or should I buy the cables I just found ?

Given the scarcity of these cables, I suggest you buy them, if affordable, to hold for future MVS community use.

I have a spare set I can offer. They came from an 850 manual. Where can I find the part # to verify on the cables? The ends at the transmission side are a little rusty but will clean up nicely. The rubber boots on the ends are intact with no tears. If I can verify the part # I can box up and ship.
