Wheels for s70 t5 97'

Post by perhss70 »

Hello,
I found a set of 4 wheels sitting on storage and I wondered if they fit my volvo...
They look like nebulas but are 16inch not OEM
7jx16h2 et 38 is all I can find no codes no nothing. I was wondering if they can fit and if not if they fit any other volvo.
Thanks in advance.

What you need to check is the center bore of the hub, 65.1mm if I recall, and the hole pitch 5 x 108mm. The ET at 38mm is in range. I have seen wheels on P80's with ET of 36-49mm. The normal is around 43mm. 49mm inset does get close for rubbing on the front inner fenders and rear parking brake cables on FWD cars.

If the pitch of the mounting holes is not stated on the rim, measure diagonally across 2 hole centers to check.

Lastly, check the wheel clears your brake calipers. If you are running the standard 280mm rotors you will be fine, but if you have the larger 302mm rotors then can catch on some rims depending on their shape in the rear.

Thanks,

I tried with caliper meter and i couldn't fit it. Is there any other way that i can do it precisely? Also what can i expect from the difference in offset?

Thanks in advance

For the small amount of the offset in terms of mm, you are talking of 5mm either side. I'd be surprised if you would notice. Moving the offset outward of course will load the wheel bearing a bit more as the wheels sit further out.

The easiest way to check the wheel bolt centers is to just try and fit one to your car. You only need a rough idea to check, so even a 15cm plastic rule works for measuring. If it seems right or close, then remove one wheel from your car and see if the bolt holes are centered. Even tighten one up carefully by hand and check the center bore sits correctly as you tighten and then that the bolt holes are all centered.

Or, you can tape a piece of cardboard the back of the rim and use a pencil to mark the holes, remove it and measure.
