Readout Part Numbers 🤷‍♂️

Post by raembo »

Hi everybody,

PAM not working.
First i had a faulty sensor. Replaced it.
Then PAM startet to work, but not consistant.
So we looked at the wires, looked good.
We decided to get a new module. My mechanic took it out and sended it to someone who can fix modules.
After waiting some time with no response from the soldering guy i decided to just buy a used one.
I got one from a similar car, but it is not recognized as expected.

I don‘t have the original part number written down before sending it away.

As fas as i now know, a used one needs software reload. Or new software. And this can only be done with a valid vida account.

So, is there a possibility to read the coded part number from vida or vdash, without having the original module?
Then i would just need to buy the correct module without having to leave the car at volvo and pay a lot more.

On the attached photo i can see all sensors are okay with my used module, but PAM stays off and gives service message.

Maybe it can be found in the log files of Vida if your Vida installation has found it earlier.

Good idea i will look at!
Before i had a faulty sensor DTC, so Vida should have seen the PAM.

I found this parts list within vida. So this should be the correct part number?

This site https://www.volvopartswebstore.com is good for part numbers. I would put some of the part numbers you have into it.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!
