shifting solenoid or electric tech

question :s80 volvo v8 ...2008 has transmission shift solenoid issue ..hard shifting and and before i were gonna tackle that job ...another issue came about...the car seem to not give power to a shift in park ..which is in park status ..used the method of puttin key fob into secondary to shift into nuetral still no action ..checked with OBD scan got numerase codes appear ..where to start.... shift solenoid or seek a eletrical dianostic tech
