The carburetors will have to go in the kitchen with Gramma's fine china.
Not my work - this is in Chicago, being rebuilt / repaired / restored by a wizard named Gordon Raymond. I had inaccessible clogged passages in the bottom (drill out the lead plugs), and a broken alum/magnesium float pivot support (re-weld and hand shape). I wouldn't have been able to do that if I rebuilt them with your basic kit.
Check all the jets
Factory float travel range tool - I sure don't have that.
Mine still have the original brass filters, which they don't make anymore. Cleaned and installed!

I hadn’t thought of that, I don’t know. It’ll have all modern hoses, pump and filter rebuilt with fuel-tolerant seals, and I put hardened steel valve seats in the head years ago when lead went away. Carbs have modern gaskets and seals.

I Think, using Sta-bil fuel treatment all the time would be prudent.
