The carburetors will have to go in the kitchen with Gramma's fine china.

Not my work - this is in Chicago, being rebuilt / repaired / restored by a wizard named Gordon Raymond. I had inaccessible clogged passages in the bottom (drill out the lead plugs), and a broken alum/magnesium float pivot support (re-weld and hand shape). I wouldn't have been able to do that if I rebuilt them with your basic kit.

Factory float travel range tool - I sure don't have that.

Mine still have the original brass filters, which they don't make anymore. Cleaned and installed!

Beautiful work on both of your parts !

Will you run an additive in the gas ? I can't imagine any of this liking lead free gas.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

Thanks!

I hadn’t thought of that, I don’t know. It’ll have all modern hoses, pump and filter rebuilt with fuel-tolerant seals, and I put hardened steel valve seats in the head years ago when lead went away. Carbs have modern gaskets and seals.

I Think, using Sta-bil fuel treatment all the time would be prudent.

That sounds like it might be smart for a car that's not used every day, just for trips, and then stored in the winter.

…for my Italian car! (Redline oil for my transmission and rear axle). The ”NS,” they tell me, is the secret.

FCP's new boxes are ceramic. I don't understand it, but hey what do I know about shipping logistics?
