Hi,
I think I have "Neutral Control" enabled. The car behaves exactly like in the description:
Neutral Control - Not available on all models. The TCM disengages the forward clutch (CI) at stop, with the brake applied to reduce load. Reduces vibration/improves fuel economy. When the brake is released, the forward clutch engages. The following conditions must be met:
Manual shift must be in D, 4 or 3.
Does NOT work in Winter Mode or Geartronic.
Transmission oil temperature must be above 10°C (50°F).
Throttle position must be less than 3%.
Brake must be pressed.
Speed must be 0 MPH.
Engine speed must be less than I500 RPM.
There's a 2 second delay once vehicle has stopped in D and a 5 second delay from N-D.
The problem is, that there is a small delay when releasing the brake before the car starts moving. The worst part is, that there is no "creep" when releasing the brake, and it feels very wrong.
Otherwise the car runs great and there aren't any problems with the transmission. This function is also not present in the "L" gear so I know that it is a function and not a problem with the transmission.
I tried to disable neutral control through VDASH. I decoded the PIN for CEM and used VDASH to disable the "Neutral Control", but nothing changed. Is there something that I am missing or is there another way for me to remove this function? I would prefer to avoid the Main Dealer if possible.
If anyone has any experience with this, then please help. This function is quite annoying!

Neutral control is disabled in one of two ways. Via CEM, but only when TCM allows it(depends on if you have all the new software)
Last way is reprogramming TCM. It's a 1 byte configuration change.
I could in theory disable it for you, but in practice I cannot easily patch your checksum.

Thank you for your input! I found a local repair shop that specializes in Volvos. 15min and 60 EUR later I have a normal car! My lesson from this is that you probably can't do it yourself. It's better to find a specialist who knows what he is doing.
Everyone who is interested in removing the same function should also reference a Volvo part no 30646691. This seems to be a special software patch for this exact problem. I wish I had found this information online, but weeks of research and combing through different forums never mentioned this. Hopefully the next person finds this post.
