We’ve got a new candidate en route. Will advise. I think I consumed Shaggs on Karla but I could be wrong

I replaced the filler neck retaining sleeve (both halves) on my 99 S70GLT.
The lower half was almost completely gone.

Each half cost $39 on fcp. Genuine Volvo, no aftermarket available.

The new parts look much less sturdy that the old.

Wow, they only sell them in halves? That's unfortunate.

Placing more orders so I can drive the S70 up to Virginia today. Also quoting concrete so a driveway can be put in to work on my cars at my new place.

Does anyone know the part number for the nut that goes into the top engine mount on 99+ S70s? I can't find it on any parts diagrams and my car has somehow lost its.

The one I'm referring to is part 48 in that diagram. The one with 4 bolts that bolt into the head. I'd go to the hardware store for a replacement, but I'm trying to bump a small FCP order to free shipping, haha.

I saw 3 cars with turn signal stock still intact at my local junkyard.

The drinks manufacturer here switched from stubby cans to long thin cans.
Need to find someone to 3d model and print a drink holder for the new cans.

I just noticed that diagram is wrong for the 1999. Yes, I’m a bit 99 Savant

The 1999s don’t use the stay on the left car/ rear engine engine mount , that’s only -1998 part 33 shouldn’t be there on a 1999

Did you give the pump time to prime?
A full tank may help priming.

Thank you. I tried cranking 3 times and for pretty long. It never took that long when I replaced these pumps on P80 non canbus cars in the past. Tank is actually full.

Today I took some time to look further into this. First I confirmed that there was power at the pump. I never knew that the pump only gets power when cranking, I thought it would come on when the ignition is in pos 2. But maybe canbus P80 does that, not sure.

So power was there but I was not able to hear or feel the pump. Then I took the pump out again and put power directly to it, and there was nothing. Looks like a bad brand new pump. I looked over the installation instructions again, because this was the first time I replaced the actual pump in an assembly. Can't see anything wrong though.

I need to get this car moving again soon, so maybe I can temporarily use the pump from the non running 99' S70. Need to get confirmation if that's the same pump.
