CLEAR RADIO CODE, 1999, S40

i have a SC - 802 radio ex a 1999 s40, even though i know the code, and the radio is built into a box in my workshop, some one has messed and now all i get is "OFF" when switching on, have 12V plus to pin 4 (+12v), pin 12 (+12V) and pin 13 (ACC+), have tryed leaving one or all connected and disconnected for 2 -3 hours in various configurations, but can't seem to get the "CODE" message, does anyone know how to fix, please. have to admit i miss the radio and cd combination in the workshop.

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

Are you leaving the radio switched on for the 2 - 3 hours? You may have to leave it longer as the time seems to vary from radio to radio.

I agree but my concern would be that it's out of the car and you're not sure about the connectors in the back. I know there's a pin-out diagram somewhere on the web. If I find it I'll post back.

The pins are correct. The only other one needing a 12v+ on the car is 3 - power antenna.
