2011 XC60 Misfire on #4

Post by xyourobob »

The XC60 T6 3.0 started misfiring, OBD2 said cylinders 2 & 4. I just replaced the plugs in July, I swapped the coils for those cylinders with their neighbors, and #4 was still missing. I did a compression check and all cylinders read close to 150psi with the exception of #4 which is reading less than 90psi. The engine has always consumed a lot of oil, I'm wondering what my options are at this junction, the vehicle has 180K miles on her but is in pretty good shape.

I put a couple of caps of oil into the #cylinder and rechecked the compression and there wasn't much of a change, would that suggest that the problem is with the exhaust valve?

Try to get a scope in cylinder 4 to check for burned valve and cylinder wear.
