XC90 LCD screen use for other things

I have and XC90 with the nice screen that pops up fro mthe dash. It works well as a navigation device and also a backup camera, but has anyone figured how to get other information to be displayed? I mean, the teeny screen for the Sirius music stations is crazy, especially when there is a nice screen up on the dash.

I do not think that anyone at Volvo thinks of these things. On one hand, they use safety as an excuse, but then they make the musci screen small and out of the way that it is more distracting to look down and change the dials a bit to see what is playing!

Just a thought.

I had the opprotunity to skim through this thread you sent. I will admit that I did not read every post as it is over 50 pages. But I do not see where the XC90 with the MOST system has been tapped into.

It seems that there needs to be an ouput from teh headunit to the video feed of teh RTI. The backup camera takes priority over the NAV, and I suspect there will be a connflict with data information being sent to teh RTI.

It looks as though there is some progress to "modernize" the Volvo entertainment system.

Sal, did you see the information on the iMIV system? I believe this takes care of all of the priorities in Volvo's system and places it in your control.

It seems as though the iMIV will only work with the Volvo's with the MELBUS system and not the MOST as is in the XC90. I may be wrong about this, but it sure seems true.
