Also cleaned the original oil trap by soaking it in industrial degreaser. It’s ready for a second round around the block.
.
Did you do a glove test before the soaking? If so let us know the after. Always wondered if degreasing could return the part back to service. Currently our 07 S60 2.5T is neutral in terms of the glove test. No suction nor inflating of the glove.
.

New Nissens heater core and recirc flap actuator arm on order from FCP, along with some interior clips and crush washers to get that free shipping. I'm excited to finally have some good heat, a couple days ago I had to drive to work in -20F temperatures, my fingers felt like popsicles the entire drive. Never again... I hope
2000 V70 SE - Bought sight unseen in Cleveland, currently my only car. Looks identical to my profile picture

This is the original one on the car that I took off when I did the pcv job a couple months back.
I replaced it with an aftermarket one and kept the old apart.

But it seems there’s not much to the oil trap. This picture from cn90 shows the inside of it.

BTW. Anyone knows what this plastic bolt does? It’s on the accelerator pedal and doesn’t look like it’s connected to anything.

I used a heat gun to bend the frog legs apart. Now it does look like proper antlers.

Not yet. There is a seep at the right side radiator Metal-to-plastic tank junction. I hope that is it.

If not, both seats will have to come out to drain coolant out of the body pan...

Found a couple of good parts out in the junkyard.
'99 -'00 turbo passenger side axle, and a V.V.T hub still on the cam.
I'll toss the cam.
