That's a lot! Any idea where it's going?
Not yet. There is a seep at the right side radiator Metal-to-plastic tank junction. I hope that is it
Sometimes those seeps at the plastic tank joint turn into a spray at high temp & pressure. The wind blows the steam away and you’re not aware of it.

I’ve been prepping the car for the yearly inspection.

Cleaned out the couple months old pcv at the air intake, replaced the oil and checked brakes and parking brake.

The car failed the first time inspection on something I’ve been messing with. The brake light pressure switch. The white collar was stuck after adjusting it. It was working when I drove to the garage.
Maybe it was already on it’s way out, since it intermittently gave me the check light warning.

So I went to the junkyard a street further and pulled on from an s70.

Also saw some good looking front calipers so I took them as well. I wanted to take the rear calipers as well, but the bolts are stuck and there’s not enough space for leverage.

Anyways, after the junkyard I installed the new brake switch and got it inspected on that fault again.
It passed without any other remarks!

Jonah the moose is a happy lad and can hitch along for another year. Yes, I named the moose before the car.

I was gonna say the same thing. Do they really let you climb a ladder 3 cars high to get parts?!

Yike. Maybe they forklift things to the ground for you. There was a creepy muddy yard in industrial Seattle. Like a Mad Max scene, but rain and mud and cutting torches. No one spoke any English. Once you got across what you needed, they forklifted it off the stack and removed the piece, even if they had to cut it off. You were not allowed out in the cars, which were stacked 3-high just on the roofs.

Chieber, I love the moose!

That inspection bit makes me wonder what percentage of cars around here would pass if we had inspections. You show them the VIN, you pay your money, they hand you plates. Done.

The junkyard over here doubles as a jungle gym and a hiding place for the autobots. At night they practice cqb against the decepticons.

Anyways, they won’t move things around for you. Only if it’s not completely boxed in.
Not sure how they determine which cars are to be put up on the pedestal.

Drove back from EWR with my driver window stuck down on the T5. Gotta fix that janky wiring on the switch.

I melted the plug a bit when my switch went bad. Springtime.

Evita really hard cold start. My guess ECT is off and poorly metering cold fuel. Will check ohms today and replace if needed
